Cadence Appoints Alinka Flaminia as Chief Legal Officer

Cadence Design Systems, announced the appointment of Alinka Flaminia as its senior vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary. In this role, Flaminia will lead the company’s worldwide legal operations, including corporate social responsibility, compliance and government affairs and will report to Lip-Bu Tan, Cadence CEO. Flaminia succeeds Jim Cowie, senior vice president and general counsel.

Ms. Flaminia joins Cadence from Mellanox Technologies, recently acquired by NVIDIA Corporation, where she served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Prior to that, she served as general counsel and corporate secretary for PMC-Sierra and senior counsel for Xilinx. She also had a private legal practice for ten years where she represented several technology industry clients. Ms. Flaminia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.
