Alegion Inc., a leading training data platform provider for machine learning, closed a record sales year in 2020. In support of ongoing business growth and customer-centered platform innovation the company continues to enhance its management team. The new Chief Operating & Financial Officer and Chief Product Officer roles bolster a seasoned leadership team at Alegion, positioning the company for further growth and innovation in 2021.

Alegion provides a complete machine learning (ML) training data platform solution empowering a wide range of industries, including Fortune 100 and AI-driven companies, to accelerate time to value of the ML models underpinning their artificial intelligence initiatives. Alegion’s ML-enabled platform efficiently and accurately annotates video, images, and text at scale with a high degree of automation, security, and quality control.

Mike Clark, an accomplished technology executive who has held executive leadership roles across several industries spanning early-stage ventures, Private Equity backed companies, and global corporations, takes on COO/CFO roles at Alegion. Most recently Mike was CEO at Realmassive.com, providing SaaS-based solutions to the commercial real estate industry. Previously, he was COO/CFO for two mid-market healthcare companies. Both were private equity-backed companies with successful exits under his leadership. Mike previously held leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies including Tandem Computers, Hewlett Packard, and Dun & Bradstreet.

Colin Lacey, Alegion’s newly named Chief Product Officer, brings the company broad global marketing, product management, services creation, and business development experience spanning Fortune 50, emerging market, and startup organizations. Most recently, Colin was EVP of Product at a venture-backed clean-tech company. Colin previously held leadership roles in product management, marketing, and strategy for Unisys, HP, and Acer.

Additionally, Alegion has added Shannon Kovar as Vice President of Operations. Shannon has previously led operations, business excellence, and sales operations functions at companies including MTPV Power Corp., Hoovers and Compaq. Alegion’s Chief Data Scientist Dr. Cheryl Martin has been promoted to Chief Research and Development Officer, leading all engineering and research initiatives within the company. Before joining Alegion, Cheryl was a Research Scientist at The University of Texas at Austin and previously worked at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
