Training Industry Announces Appointment of Ken Taylor as CEO

Training Industry Inc., the global leader in market intelligence for corporate training and development, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Taylor to CEO. Taylor has been a partner at Training Industry for the last 15 years and has most recently served as president since March 2015. Founder and longtime CEO Doug Harward will transition to the role of executive chairman.

Launching Training Industry in 2005, Harward recognized the need for trusted information and resources for corporate learning and development professionals. Over the last 16 years, Training Industry has grown to reach more than 350,000 website visitors each month with high-quality content from industry thought leaders across the globe.

The leadership transition is the result of a planned succession designed to provide ongoing stability and continuity to the business. “It was time to take the next step in the evolution of Ken’s leadership at Training Industry,” said Harward. “He has built a solid leadership team that will allow him to take on the additional responsibilities of becoming CEO.”

As Harward’s longtime partner, Taylor has helped to grow the business, the community and Training Industry team. Together, they co-authored the book “What Makes a Great Training Organization,” that became the basis for the Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) program, which now has more than 1,000 graduates. Taylor looks forward to “expanding our efforts to help learning leaders effectively manage the business of learning by providing training, resources, research and access to contributions from our ever-growing community of thought leaders.”
