WorkStep Announces Tommi ForsströM as New Chief Product Officer

Supply Chain Hiring and Retention Platform Adds Growth-Stage Software Innovator to Drive Product Strategy as Demand Skyrockets

WorkStep, a workforce hiring and retention platform for the supply chain, announced the appointment of Tommi Forsström as its Chief Product Officer (CPO). With over 20 years’ experience scaling companies from start-up to growth stage, Forsström will lead WorkStep’s product strategy and development.

An expert in evidence-based product strategy, Forsström previously led product innovation at Shutterstock and Splice—and consulted the Insight Partners portfolio on product strategy and leadership. Most recently, Forsström served as Vice President at Teachable where he assisted in scaling the company to a successful acquisition by Hotmart Co.

“The frontline worker shortage is one of the greatest challenges companies face today,” said Forsström. “Enabling employers to fundamentally shift and improve how they attract, hire and retain hourly employees with technology is both critical and exciting.”

Founded in 2017, WorkStep received a $10.5M Series A funding round in February of 2021, followed by Series B funding of $25M last month. The company, which grew revenue by more than three times year-over-year leading up to the fundraise, expects to more than triple its team in 2022.
