(ISC)² Professional Development Institute Honored With 2020 D2L Excellence Award

PDI program celebrates first anniversary after introducing 35 on-demand courses to drive member value

 (ISC)² – the world’s largest nonprofit association of certified cybersecurity professionals – announced that it has been awarded a 2020 D2L Excellence Award for its launch of the Professional Development Institute (PDI). The honor comes on the heels of the first anniversary of PDI, a portfolio of timely and relevant continuing education courses that help keep cybersecurity professionals’ skills sharp and curiosity piqued.

35 on-demand courses have now been introduced and are available to (ISC)members and associates at no additional cost, representing more than $10,000 in combined value and more than 100 continuing professional education (CPE) credit opportunities. At the conclusion of 2019, nearly 20,000 unique members had completed courses at a total value equivalent to more than $7.9 million in educational content.

The wide range of topic areas addressed by PDI include securing the Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Containers, Privacy Regulations, Cyber Insurance, Mobile Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, as well as building skills such as Penetration Testing, Malware Analysis, Interpersonal Skills, Cloud Basics, Communication with the C-Suite, Responding to a Breach, Gaining Support for Your Security Program and Incident Management.
