The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), announces the launch of the IICF Talent Hub TM, an online resource center for non-traditional job seekers to learn about insurance industry jobs and career opportunities.

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), a unique nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities and enriching lives announces the launch of the IICF Talent Hub TM, an online resource center for non-traditional job seekers to learn about insurance industry jobs and career opportunities. Key features include access to job search tools, testimonials from industry employees and a unique new insurance-only job board, developed in partnership with Indeed, to view available job opportunities, post resumes and apply for specific jobs. The IICF Talent Hub will also serve as an aggregator of information on insurance industry scholarships, recruiting events, and various other resources available through nonprofit organizations such as professional wardrobe support and interview preparation.

The IICF Talent Hub will also support insurance companies in their efforts to attract new talent and build a more diverse pipeline of job applicants. Participating insurance organizations will have the opportunity to post jobs and recruitment videos alongside information on their company’s culture, ESG efforts, philanthropic initiatives and more.

“Not many people may initially think of the insurance industry when they start their job search, and for many people in underserved communities, a new job opportunity holds the promise to improve not only their own lives but those of their families and communities at large,” said Betsy Myatt, Vice President and Chief Program Officer for IICF. “Our hope for the IICF Talent Hub is that it will bring awareness of quality job opportunities to an audience that may not know us and help build a diverse pipeline of new talent that could help change the face of the industry.”

The IICF Talent Hub is one of the first initiatives to arise from the IICF IDEA Council, which includes DEI, human resource and talent leaders from more than 40 organizations throughout the insurance industry. The objective of the council is to convene top executives and thought leaders to share insights and best practices and devise new solutions and resources, like the IICF Talent Hub, that advance our collective ideas into action and help to create a fully inclusive future for the insurance industry

“The IICF IDEA Council and the initiatives that we are already seeing take shape demonstrate what an industry like ours can do when we work together,” said Kim Briones, Head of Global Human Resources, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, and IICF IDEA Council member. “The Council encourages insurance leaders to put aside competition and work collaboratively to strengthen the industry through talent and DEI initiatives like the IICF Talent Hub. At the end of the day, welcoming new talent that is reflective of the communities we serve is good for the industry, and good for every company.”

Additionally, the IICF Talent Hub will host resources for insurance companies, such as an upcoming webinar focusing on the value of apprenticeship programs within the industry and showcase the opportunities and results these innovative programs have delivered for both insurance companies and job seekers, and the broader community.

Any insurance job that is posted on Indeed will appear on the IICF Talent Hub job board. As a direct bridge from the insurance industry to new and more diverse talent pools, the IICF Talent Hub will facilitate hiring and accepting through this integrated insurance-only job board. IICF will expand our relationships with nonprofit partners that serve talented young people in under-resourced communities, inviting job seekers to explore the promising opportunities available through jobs and careers in the insurance industry.
