Hire Dynamics Puts Investment & Focus on Texas Market With Acquisition of Select Staff

  • Award-winning staffing company acquires Select Staff, a leading Dallas-based staffing provider matching the needs of employers and talent across the Lone Star State

Hire Dynamics, a top 1% US staffing company headquartered in Atlanta, is strengthening its presence across the South with the acquisition of leading Texas staffing provider Select Staff. The combined company will allow Hire Dynamics to serve clients and provide jobs for talent through 60 branch locations across Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

“Best of Staffing for Client & Talent Satisfaction”

Hire Dynamics is a commercial staffing company serving clients in manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce, contact center and office support. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the company was founded by Dan Campbell and Jon Neff with the mission to be the #1 staffing company you’d refer to a friend.

Hire Dynamics has been named a “Best Place to Work” 39 times across its various locations. By tapping into Select Staff’s established client base, Hire Dynamics aims to significantly accelerate growth in Texas.

Hire Dynamics CEO Billy Milam notes the similarities in the mission and culture the companies share. “Both are known for finding just the right talent solutions for each customer’s unique needs and both share a fundamental belief that a strong workplace culture drives growth,” he says. “Texas is an exciting and important opportunity for Hire Dynamics. We couldn’t be more pleased to have found the right partner in Select Staff to provide opportunities for our clients, talent and team and welcome them to the HD family!”

Headquartered in Dallas, Select Staff has 10 branches across the state including Dallas, Irving, Arlington, Tyler, San Antonio, Lubbock, Amarillo, McAllen, Harlingen and Brownsville. The news come as Texas’s unemployment rate, at 5.9%, remains slightly higher than the national rate of 5.2% according to an August 2021 report by the Texas Workforce Commission. In July, Texas also saw a gap of around 165,000 more unemployed workers than advertised job openings.

“There are so many opportunities in the Texas market,” says Jennifer Hewitt, president of Select Staff. “We have a strong vision for growth, and we can do that now as part of Hire Dynamics. We are gaining access to the resources and experience of a significant company in the staffing space with a strong, positive reputation. We will continue to serve light industrial and logistics clients with our drive to solve the challenges they face. Texas is unique and special, and so are its people. We look forward to introducing Hire Dynamics around this great state.” Hewitt has been with the company 28 years and worked in all functions as she advanced within the company.

“Hire Dynamics’ emphasis on putting people first, mirrors our own,” adds Select Staff Founder Charles Tanner, now retired. Tanner launched the company in 1981 and oversaw its growth to among the top 1% revenue generating staffing companies in the nation. “This acquisition allows Select Staff to enhance our service to clients and employees through new resources and new technologies, while staying the course with a culture committed to exceptional customer service.”

The transaction closed October 1, 2021. Hewitt will join the Hire Dynamics team, supporting Vice President Lisa Cooney to ensure a seamless transition of employees and operations and build winning strategies to serve customers in Texas. Hire Dynamics is owned by MSouth Equity Partners, a leading Southeast private equity company headquartered in Atlanta.
