The Disability Equality Index, in partnership with the American Association of People with Disabilities, grades companies on the merits of their policies, programs, and practices designed to hire, include, and better serve people with disabilities across the business. The Disability Equality Index serves as the United States’ most comprehensive annual benchmarking tool for business disability inclusion, representing a vast array of sectors such as technology, financial services, insurance, and healthcare.

This year, Ultimate launched its companywide “U Belong” program, dedicated to ensuring all Ultimate employees are comfortable bringing their whole, authentic selves to work. The program builds upon the foundations and principles of Ultimate’s longstanding diversity practices, working with leaders and employees across the company to develop a comprehensive diversity program and support system. U Belong also hosts a variety of events and workshops throughout the year to raise awareness and further educate Ultimate’s employees about individuals with disabilities, both seen and unseen. Ultimate fosters the personal growth and career success of its people through ongoing learning, mentorship, and leadership-development programs, which have long provided diversity and inclusion training for current and future managers. Course curricula include workshops on creating environments of safety and trust, recognizing and avoiding unconscious bias in the workplace, and embracing creative differences to drive innovation.
