Deloitte Acquires Presence of IT to Solidify its Human Capital Consulting Stack

The Acquisition Is Set to Ignite the Talent Experience, Says Deloitte

Deloitte Australia has recently acquired Consulting practice firm, Presence of IT in its largest-ever local consulting deal. In addition to the Workforce Management and Human Resources consultancy, the Founders, leadership team, and employees of Presence of IT will also move to Deloitte.

HR and Payroll technology service provider, Presence of IT started off in 1999 from Sydney and now operates from offices across Australia, APAC, Canada, New Zealand, and the US. It mentions itself as a Global Leader in Digital Cloud Delivery. It has been serving public and private sector firms with process improvement, software implementation, and support services in HCM. The firm has partnered with SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Kronos, and numerous other prominent logos, and offers SAP HR/payroll consulting services and Oracle HCM solutions to customers around the globe.

A Workforce Numbering 600 Transitions to Deloitte

David Brookes and Shaun Flannery, the Co-founders of Presence of IT will join the Human Capital leadership team of Deloitte as partners. Current Co-CEO Shane Grobler will also join them in the move. An estimated workforce of 300 staff will join Deloitte’s Australian office while 300 more will come aboard the APAC and US regions.

Shane Grobler told that Presence of IT and Deloitte have worked together for over 10 years in the field of large-scale HR transformation strategies for their customers. He added that both organizations realize each other’s strengths and share a similar drive to help their clients get better results. “We are both focused on building a truly engaging talent experience for those connected to our firms, to innovating the way we do things and striving for ongoing excellence,” said Shane.

Deloitte Australia’s CEO Richard Deutsch opined that the acquisition will help Deloitte preside over a major market opportunity by making the firm an undisputed leader in the HCM consulting arena.
