StartOrganic’s Flexible Hybrid Organic Vegetable Gardening Program Enables HR Teams to Improve Employee Engagement While Reducing Worker Stress by up to 92%

A new survey of 358 employees participating in StartOrganic’s online vegetable gardening program shows that the corporate wellness program has a long-term, positive impact on the lifestyles of participants at both work and home. While 100% of employees enjoyed StartOrganic’s learning presentations and 99.4% said they learned something new, 92% felt a reduction in their stress level from participating in the gardening program. Approximately 96.1% said that they experienced positive life changes due to having a campus garden, 92.2% felt comfortable implementing their new knowledge in a home garden, and 46% said the StartOrganic program was their favorite offered by their company.

“Everyone looks forward to starting their gardens, engaging with their families in the process and connecting with other team members in new ways,” said Allison Stark, Manager of Global Wellness for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “Employees are able to literally see the fruits of their labor and that allows all involved to feel accomplishment and success.”

For HR teams seeking to improve engagement with work-from-home employees, 98% of survey respondents said that they have a better opinion about their company for offering the organic gardening program, 96.6% would like more gardening programming, and 89.5% would attend regular classes taught by StartOrganic. The program received a high NPS rating of 70, with employees highly likely to promote StartOrganic classes to their colleagues.
