reacHIRE Welcomes Gloria Cordes Larson, Former President of Bentley University, to Board of Directors

reacHIRE, a company committed to creating work environments where women thrive, advance, lead and stay, announced that Gloria Cordes Larson has joined its Board of Directors.

Larson is a prominent lawyer, public policy expert, and the former President of Bentley University where she was the first woman to hold the post. President Larson launched the Center for Women and Business at Bentley in 2011, with a mission to advance shared leadership among women and men in the corporate world and to develop women as business leaders. Upon her retirement in June 2018, Bentley’s Board of Trustees named the Center in her honor. Prior to joining Bentley, Larson was a partner at the Boston law firm of Foley Hoag LLP and served as secretary of economic affairs under former Massachusetts Governor William Weld and led a business advisory cabinet for former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. Larson was also the first woman to serve as chairman of the board of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and continues to serve on the chamber’s executive committee, as well as on the boards of directors of Unum Group, Boston Private Financial Holdings Inc., and as the board president of the Massachusetts Conference for Women. In 2003, Gloria was awarded the number one position on Boston Magazine’s list of “100 Most Powerful Women in Boston,” she was also named among the magazine’s “50 Most Powerful People” in 2015.
