Corra Group Prepares for the Final Surge of Holiday Season Employment Screening

Corra Group offers employment screening background checks to employers in need of hiring holiday staff.

Corra Group is preparing for when both brick and mortar and online retailers enter a major but final stage of hiring for the holiday season. The El Segundo, California background screening service views this phase or the holiday hiring season as the critical time when employers fill in the gaps, regarding additional staffing needs, while adding new drivers to meet what is typically the holiday overload for home delivery.

“This should be a unique year for holiday staffing,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Gordon Basichis. “In the past years online shopping has been on the increase. But this year with the pandemic already creating the demand for additional drivers, we see our clients adding new drivers in order to avoid any challenges in delivering holiday items on time.”

Basichis offered that Corra Group offers a full range of employment screening background checks. He noted that for the holiday season most employers focus on MVRS, or driving records, and a variety of criminal records searches. He added that Corra Group can service these requirements and turnaround a completed employment screening report in anything from a few minutes to a few days.

“As we draw closer to the holiday season, it is essential that our clients receive employment screening reports in a timely fashion so that they can train and staff their new hires so they can better facilitate seasonal orders,” said Basichis. Smaller Mom and Pop retailers may need only one or two new employees for the holidays. But some of our larger concerns, including the truckers and delivery services, may be hiring hundreds of additional people. Typically, this is the final round where employers assess what they have and what they need to operate their businesses, over the next few months.

“Corra Group can set up clients within a couple of hours,” said Basichis. “There are no set up fees and no monthly fees. With Corra Group, clients pay only for what they order.”

Basichis speculated that this year, with all its incumbent challenges, will be much different than previous holiday seasons. He noted with many brick and mortar stores on lockdown or only allowing limited customers to shop at the same time, he imagines a dramatic increase in online shopping.

“Like so many things this past year, the holiday season may prove unpredictable,” he said. “Many people are still out of work and much of the country is probably more concerned with buying essentials than holiday gifts. For Corra Group, we understand it is our job to provide the best background screening services to help our clients enjoy a successful season while, most importantly, remaining in business when the holidays end.”
