In response to business disruptions due to COVID-19, Vendasta has launched an online training program to help entrepreneurs build a successful digital agency from their own homes.

The launch of Conquer Local Academy comes as the U.S. Labor Department reported Thursday that the
unemployment rate hit 13 percent, the worst since the Great Depression. Meanwhile, Canada shed more than
one million jobs last month, according to Statistics Canada. Small businesses that were slowly making the shift to digital are now being forced to move fast, and need help from experts to make the transition. This presents an opportunity for people and companies that serve them. The Conquer Local Academy aims to provide people with the comprehensive training and online digital solutions they need to help local businesses survive and thrive online.
“Many people with uncertain employment futures are at home, spending time online looking for alternate career
opportunities. This is an opportunity to obtain both the education and tools that may help provide income for
families,” said Vendasta CEO Brendan King. “Not to mention, existing agencies may have extra cycles to learn
new skills to help them expand their business.”
